Collection 2000 Extreme 24hour Felt Tip Liners - Review and Swatches

Left to right: Black, Blue, Purple, Teal.

Price: £2.99 each

Collection 2000 say:
Be bold, bright and beautiful!
The fast drying versatile felt tipped pens give your makeup look an instant burst of colour.
Easy-to-apply felt tip nib for all day long lustrous looking eyes.
Set trends with four intense, high powered hues including purple, blue, teal and black.

The felt tip design makes these easy to apply and the colours are highly pigmented (Apart from the black, which isn't as intense as I would like it to be). A quality we all look for in a product is it's staying power and these certainly have that, so much so that these leave a slight stain.

The swatches above show the liners normally, and then the result of rubbing forcefully (No jokes please!) and lastly the result of wiping (Again, forcefully) with a facial wipe. You can see the stain they have left on my arm.

These stains can probably be removed with a lot of force and products, but I don't think this will be good for your eye area.

I love the price, felt tip design, colours, pigmentation, staying power, but not the stain afterwards!

For £2.99 though, I would definitely try these out.

UPDATE: I've been wearing the black and it's so easy to use, lasts all day and doesn't stain, definitely a new favourite :)

Today's purchases

I like reading posts like this because it shows you the bits and bobs available and on offer (Websites don't show a lot of products)
So I hope you like them too!

^ All from Superdrug
Superdrug shower gels 2 for £1.50
Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner £3.45 - My favourite leave in conditioner ever!
Colour Effects Wash In Wash Out Conditioning Colour (Rich Red) 99p - This brightens your hair and adds tones of whatever colour you have picked (In this case, red). This comes out within a few washes.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer £3.99 - My favourite concealer, have just ran out after using it for months!

At the beginning of the store, where you pay, I saw Vaseline Rosy Lips in a stick (I'm assuming it's a new product because it said 'new'). I love Rosy Lips but hate tin lip balms so this will be great. Unfortunately I had no money left but my sister is going in town today and if she has any money spare she said she would pick one up for me :)

Collection 2000's Sparkle Top Coat

I couldn't get a good quality photo of the bottle today but I will upload it right *here* when I get one :)
I love Collection 2000's nail care varnishes and even more so at just £2.49 each :)
You can wear this alone or over another colour and as the sparkle/shimmer particles are finely milled, it looks beautiful either way.

Here is three coats on my bare nails:

Bad quality but it shows you how it looks at certain angles.

Isn't it beautiful?
I'm not keen on glitter polishes as they can easily look tacky so this subtle sparkle is perfect.

Updated Nail Polish Collection

This is my third post on my nail polish collection but I thought I'd update you as in the past few months I've had a huge clear out (& a few more have been added :P)

Sorry about the sun/moon/stars duvet my nail polishes are on, I've had it since I was a child and sleep much better with this bedding haha.

I'm going to name them and link you to the posts where each polish is featured because you might want to see swatches (I haven't linked some because the photos aren't of good quality.)

The collection:

Barry M:
Coral 296, Pink Flamingo 305, Bright Pink 279, Limited Edition, Pure Turquoise 295, Mint Green 304, Boots Limited Edition 030, Strawberry Ice cream 309.

Boots 17 and Rimmel:
Ruby Dazzle, Fire Cracker, Catwalk Couture, True Blue, Royal Indigo, Pink Grapefruit and Rimmel's Rose Libertine.

Collection 2000, Miss Sporty and No7:
Sparkle Top Coat, BMX Bandit 32, Show Off 23, Electric Beige 251, Zodiac 203, Peachy 30, Clear 20, Damson Dream 105.

Loreal, Stargazer and George:
Deep Geranium 603, Neon Pink 104, Warior 45.

I thought I had a lot more NOTD/W posts! Looks like I'll have to feature quite a few of these in the upcoming months.
I haven't linked a few because the photos are bad quality, looking back I'm ashamed I even posted them! So I will retake the photos :)

Collection 2000 Bronze Glow Face & Body Bronzer

£3-4

I was instantly attracted to this product by the packaging, embossed sun design, and size. You get 19g of product which is huge! Natural Collection's Bronzer is 10g, so this is nearly double the amount.

But sadly, I was a little disappointed. It's slightly too orange and shimmery.
It's definitely too discoball-esque for your body.
Also, I don't know whether the shade is too light, but there isn't a whole lot of colour pay off. I think it's just the shade of the product (& the ton of shimmer) as the colour is the same shade as my freckles!

Wow, it sounds like I have slated this product pretty bad! It's not awful, I love everything about it except the product haha, I would just prefer it to be more of a brown shade and slightly matte, after all, it's meant to be used for your body aswell.

It's such a shame as I absolutely adore Collection 2000 products.

Another point is that this product isn't unique as it's very similar to their Shimmering Mosaic powder. That product I like, and that's because it's marketed for giving you shimmer. You know what you're getting with it. This product has the word 'Glow' in the name and to me, 'Glow' and 'Shimmer' are completely different.

Now how many times have I said the word 'Shimmer' or 'Shimmery' in this post? haha too much I tell you!

Thank you for reading :)

Today's purchases and a very happy Louise!

Tesco's: Bikini top £6, Collection 2000 Bronze Glow 01 Sunkissed £3 down from £3.99, Bodyform packs with free carry cases £1 each.

Firstly, how cute are the carry cases?!

The picture on the right of the Bronze Glow is to show you how big it is, I love large compacts like that. I have high hopes for the product as well :)

& now onto what is making me a very happy Louise, the bikini top!
I've been searching for a bikini top for around 2months, no exaggeration but I don't like triangle shape ones and didn't want to spend much so it was very hard to find one. I found a couple with the style I wanted (Asos and Debenhams) but didn't want to spend £18+. I was giving up and was going to get the £18 one from Debenhams but tonight I found one!
Although the pattern isn't as nice as the more expensive one, the £12 difference persuaded me.

It looks gorgeous on, the only thing I'm confused at is the size. This says it is a D cup when it doesn't look it. I've been wearing B cup bras but I think they're definitely too small now; hopefully I'm a C cup now! But I don't think I'm as big as a D.

Sorry for that rambling, I'm just happy!

Have a good night :)

Today's Make-up

Today's make-up was very neutral. My hair was also quickly tied back because I was only taking the dogs for a walk.

I hate it when the camera doesn't pick up the colours! grr, buts heres what I used (In order of the products used) :
  • Collection 2000 Complexion Perfection Concealer
  • Collection 2000 Shine Away Compact Powder
  • NYX Eyebrow Powder
  • Avon Arabian Glow Clearly Shadowed Eye Pencil in Burnished Bronze
  • Collection 2000 Mosaic Shimmering Glow Powder
  • Collection 2000 Volume Sensation Mascara
  • No7 Perfect Lips Pencil in 20 Nude
  • Elite Repulp! Gloss in 02 Glam Nude
^ Can you tell I like Collection 2000 products? hehe

Today was one of those rare days when I wear lip products! The nude lip pencil is the only lip pencil I own so I'm looking at buying a few more because I quite like them :)

As you can not actually see the products, here are a few swatches:
Avon Arabian Glow Clearly Shadowed Eye Pencil in Burnished Bronze, No7 Perfect Lips Pencil in 20 Nude and Elite Repulp! Gloss in 02 Glam Nude. As you can see, the two lip products are perfectly suited. The lip gloss is very pigmented and I love the colour (The only place I have seen where you can purchase this, is at superdrug.com)

In the picture above you can see I'm going slightly ginger again! Woo! I've altered the colour settings in the picture below to show you how I want my hair to be (Like it used to be.)

Boohoo dress and simple eye make up

My experience with Boohoo was a good one; easy to navigate website, fast shipping and good communication. Here's the dress I ordered for a wedding I'm going to in a few months. It was £25. I'm usually a size 8 in dresses but ordered a size 10 and it fits perfectly so I think Boohoo sizes are slightly smaller than other stores.
(The photo's are taken in the mirror with me looking very vain because my sister got in a stress and refused to take the photo.)

I just need to find some shoes :)

My make up today was very simple; black liquid liner and mascara (Also concealer and brow powder.)
I've used Collection 2000's liquid liner and Collection 2000's Volume Sensation mascara, both great products.

Collection 2000 Hot Looks in Show Off

Voila. My nails are still quite short which is annoying. They should be nice and long again in a week or two. These quality photo's are awful so when I get my hands on a proper camera, I shall take some more. The shade of blue, as you can see, is a true blue. The only thing that the camera isn't picking up, due to its lack of focus, is the shimmer. Application was good, the usual 2 coats and I shall see how long the polish lasts until looking a bit shabby.
:)

Oh and forgot to mention, this is £1.79 :)

Few Small Purchases

A few presents for some upcoming birthdays :)

Clinton Cards:
I love Blue Nose Friends, their adorable! Snail teddy £5, Keychain £2.50, Elephant charm £1.99 and the card was £1.50

Close ups, dorrrr the snail! I want to collect them all hehe

These are a few little extra presents for some friends. Skittles and Starburst from Tesco. Mini magnetic letters and rubber chicken are from Hawkins Bazaar £1.50 and £2. The chickens for a guy friend who is easily amused lol

Watermelon lipbalm (smells gorgeous) £2 from Hawkins Bazaar, Miss Sporty nail polish in Peaches £1.99, Collection 2000 nail polish in Show Off £1.79.
Miss Sporty nail polishes are great and you really can not go wrong for the price. They currently have a 3 for 2 offer across the range so you could get 3 nail polishes for £4!

My nails are now long enough to show swatches and I am going to borrow my friends camera so I can show you the colours of my nail polishes. I'll start off with my Asda ones then Miss Sporty, then Collection 2000 and then carry on with the rest.

My favourite has to be Pow! but they are all gorgeous :)

Oh and if you haven't already guessed, I would definitely recommend these!

Those Rare Few...

Hello :)
I rarely finish a product and its even more rare if I purchase it again because I'm always trying out different things. I'll start using the product for a few weeks and then the novelty wears off, but below are products I've finished and re-purchased:

Nivea Lip Care Pearl and Shine £2-£3 depending on the store. I have so many lip balms and this is one of the only ones I've stuck to. Firstly, because its a stick lip balm which means my hands won't get messy. Secondly, it makes your lips smooooooth and thirdly, leaves your lips with a gorgeous pearly shine.

Collection 2000 Volume Sensation £4.99. Although I do use different mascara's, this is the only one I've re-purchased (about 6 times). I love my mascara's to have large bristle brushes and this has exactly that.

Boots Intensive Hair Masks £1.99. I use these everyday as a normal conditioner so no wonder I go through so many! They leave my hair silky soft :) Review for these can be found here.

Body Treatment Cocoa Body Butter (Have only found in Wilkinsons) around £1. I've written a review for this here. Smells gorgeous, leaves skin really soft, same size as a large Bodyshop's body butter and is extremely cheap!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer

Price: £3.99

What they say:
  • Ultimate concealer conceals flaws, imperfections and blemishes for up to 16 hours
  • Oil free
  • Transfer proof and water resistant for full and long lasting coverage
  • Provides beautiful, shine free, blemish free skin for every waking hour
What I say: Well those are some strong claims ^. This gives great coverage, I would say medium-high but it gives such a high coverage because the formulation is quite thick, which some people may not like. Up to 16 hours? Well it lasted through the day (10ish hours) and then I had a shower, so pretty darn good! This concealer did seem to keep my oily skin at bay :)
This concealer dries rather quickly which I didn't like at first but I've got used to it and once dry, it stays put.

Summary: Great coverage! Dries quickly but once dry, it doesn't budge!

Would I re-purchase? Yes!

Collection 2000 Love Your Lips Balmgloss

Price: £3.99

What they say:
  • The only gloss to offer SPF20
  • Helps protect and care for lips in the sun
  • Moisturising and non-sticky
  • Contains anti-oxidants, rose hips and mango extract to soothe and hydrate lips
  • Available in six delicious fruit flavours

What I say: I agree with everything above. Its moisturising, non-sticky and the SPF20 is a bonus. I love the packaging and the applicator is a brush instead of your average wand found in most lipglosses. The colour pay off is definitely not as strong as the colour in the tube but is sheer and subtle (This is the only thing I would improve). Another reason why I love this Balm/Gloss is the smell - Oh em geeeee it smells so good! Like sweet mango's :)

Would I re-purchase? Yes! It has everything I look for in a gloss (Apart from high pigmentation). I have 'Passion' which is the bright pink one (4th from the left) and I would certainly buy the others.

Shop

^ I'm replacing the word 'Haul' to 'Shop' because... well it makes more sense :)
There's been so many posts I've been wanting to do but without a camera, I can not :( A few reviews can be done by using internet photos but most require swatches and my own photos to show you the products. I'm saving up now so hopefully will have a camera soon.

Rimmel's Stay Matte Dual Action Concealer £4.99

Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection Concealer £3.99, on offer for £2.99

Collection 2000's Waterproof Longer Lash Mascara £2.99

Avon's Arabian Glow Clearly Shadowed Eye Pencils £5 each, on offer for £3 each. I've already gone through a blue one of these and loved it so I thought I'd get every colour :) I already have a review on these but am not going to post until I have a camera because I want to show you how beautiful they look.

Reviews to come in the next week :)
