Collection 2000 Glam Crystals

These are £2.99 each and are my favourite glitter liners. They dry in a reasonable time, last all day and do not contain tacky large glitter particles.

From top to bottom: Funk, Shake it up!, Pow!, Spandex and Le freak.

Swatches: (Names in order as above)

My favourite has to be Pow! but they are all gorgeous :)

Oh and if you haven't already guessed, I would definitely recommend these!

Simple, VIP and Purchase

'Simple' the skincare range have a website (Like most companies these days) and I would just like to inform you about it if you haven't already checked it out. The website gives you all the information you need to know on their products, loads of tips on how to make your skin the best it can be and you can take a skin health check where they give you in-depth advice tailored for you and your life style. It says it is £8.99 or free with a promotional code. All I done was typed into google 'Promotional code for Simple skin health check' and used the first one that popped up - You can use any code you see, it doesn't really matter. I don't think anyone actually pays for it.
You can also become a VIP member which is worth doing because you get to try products before anyone else, have your say about the brand and product range, win prizes and get monthly discounts of 50% off product packs!

A few weeks ago I ordered the 'Simply Kissable' product pack for my mum for Mother's day. This includes Vital Vitamin Day Cream 50ml, Kind To Eyes Soothing Balm and Kind To Lips Intensive Moisturiser. If you buy these products separately it would cost £12. The online pack is £10 and because I am a VIP and got discount of 50%, I only had to pay £5, saving of £7 :)

You can also earn points by taking surveys each month, commenting on their blog posts etc... and when you reach 1000 points they will give you £10 off a product pack.
It is definitely worth signing up!

Superdrug Tea Tree and Peppermint Skincare Range Reviews

Hello :)
I was sent these products for reviewing purposes. This has not affected my opinions on the products.

Products are £2.99 each or on offer at the moment 2 for £5 which is great value.

"Tea Tree originates from Australia. It is a natural antibacterial agent known for its antiseptic healing properties.
Peppermint oil is renowned for its therapeutic effect on skin disorders and for its cooling sensation."

This skincare range has a minty scent, which personally I like but some people may be put off by it.

Facial wash.
Superdrug Tea Tree and Peppermint Facial Wash will effectively remove dirt, make-up and other impurities, helping to promote a clearer spot-free complexion. It will leave your skin feeling clean and fresh.
I really like this facial wash as it refreshes my skin and instantly makes me feel wide awake.

Moisturiser.
This light, soothing, non-greasy moisturiser is enriched with the moisturising ingredients Pro-vitamin B5 and Aloe Vera. Easily absorbed into the skin, this refreshing formula is ideal for use on oily or spot prone skin.
This has a lighter minty scent than the other products and smells like Polo's :). Easily absorbed, does not make my skin greasy, softens my skin straight away and soothes my skin because of the peppermint - Need I say more?

Cleanser & Toner.
This 2 in 1 Cleanser and Toner with natural peppermint oil is a light non-greasy formulation, which removes dirt, make-up and other skin impurities, thereby helping to promote a clearer spot free complexion. Leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean.
Refreshes my skin, removes the dirt, make-up and impurities and my skin feels 'toned' when applied. A good standard product :)

Blended Oil.
Superdrug Tea Tree blended oil is diluted to 1% so that it can be applied directly to the skin. Its antibacterial and antiseptic actions penetrate pore deep removing bacteria and helping to promote a clearer complexion.
This is the first facial oil I have tried because before I thought "It will not make a difference to my skin" and "It will leave my skin really oily and greasy". Well, this does not make my skin as oily/greasy as I thought it would and makes my skin feel moisturised. I'm not sure if it has improved the condition of my skin because I naturally have oily skin so haven't noticed a great difference. I think this product will be great for people with dry skin to restore the oils.
This product being "antibacterial and antiseptic" probably does do my skin good and I will continue to use to see the results.

Overall: I really like this range as the tea tree and peppermint oils refresh and revitalise my skin. I also love the minty smell :) It wakes my brain up.

Would I re-purchase? Yes :)

My ginger journey over the past year or so

I'm a ginge *Does NOT hang head in shame*. I've been quite lucky actually and have only been called a few names, but that was around the ages of 11-13 when immature boys were starting puberty. I still here the odd joke, mainly by myself - If you can take the mick out of yourself and show people you don't care, their not going to bother trying to annoy you.

So here is my hair over the past few years, mainly focusing on the colour:

This was taken a few years ago in the summer, in the sunshine. This is the lightest it has been since I was a child (When I got my hair cut it went really dark)

Taken about a year ago, lighting isn't very good but shows you how dark my hair is.

This is probably the most true to my natural hair colour (Taken August last year). As you can see its Auburn - I like it :)

Taken December 2009. This is when I dyed my hair to dark brown. I wasn't ashamed of my previous colour, I just wanted to try something different.

Taken January 2010. This is a lighter brown.

And currently, my hair is like the picture above, but with red tones running through it.

GARNIER Nutrisse
In a few weeks I am dying my hair back to its Auburn-ness like the picture above. I'll probably use a different brand because I have found that Garnier Nutrisse PERMANENT lasts as long as L'oreal SEMI PERMANENT.

Hope you enjoyed :)

Small Shop Including Mother's Day Presents

I finished getting my mother's day presents!

Card Factory is so cheap! Their giant cards are 99p-£1.99.
  • From here I bought the cutest card which comes in a gift box for £1.99
  • A balloon for 49p
  • And a hugee teddy for £6.99. See the teddies in the picture above wrapped up with big bows? Its one like that :) I must have looked hilarious carrying it around town as the bag was insanely big.
  • I've also got her ferrero rocher's (Of course)
  • And a skin care gift set from Simple.

Soul Cal Chambray Pintuck Shirt
Next up is Primark. Now as I don't have a camera and can not find a picture, I had to use this blouse picture from Republic. Its like the picture above but its navy blue and comes with a brown skinny belt. This was £8.
I also bought some light wash skinny jeans for £8.

Update and Ins & Outs

Hello :)
I'm going in town tomorrow to buy a few more mothers day presents and might pick up some things for myself. Only a few though because I don't have much money! I know I said I was on a spending ban but when buying presents for other people, you feel less guilty about buying treats for yourself.
If you look to your right, you will see I have some skincare reviews coming up. The tea tree range will be reviewed next Saturday as then I would have been using it for 2 weeks.

Ok so on to Ins & Outs:

Ins:
  • Clear skin! Well almost, but I'm still very pleased :)
  • Getting a good Psychology result in my mock. The last couple I done were not very good so I lost faith but now getting a good grade when I didn't revise has boosted my confidence. We have also started a new approach: Psycho dynamic, which is about sex drive, unconscious thinking, instinct etc which is very interesting.
  • No boy troubles. Multiple boys have recently been playing with my head and now that its over, it feels good to not worry about those kinds of things. Its simple :)
  • Cheerio's with clusters! Yummmm! Cheerio's are scrummy on their own, but now there's packs with clusters in which add a little sweetness to the cereal.

Outs:
  • Biology! I like Biology and got A's in GCSE but time and time again, I keep getting bad marks. I failed my mock today and got so annoyed I said I'm quitting the subject lol. But it is my fault for not revising; I've been so busy this week finishing English coursework and numerous essays that I didn't have a lot of time.
  • No money, as always - boo!
  • No nice jeans. I have one pair which I like now and all the others look horrible. I want a few pairs from Republic but having no money means I can't.

Can you relate to any of these?

Those Rare Few...

Hello :)
I rarely finish a product and its even more rare if I purchase it again because I'm always trying out different things. I'll start using the product for a few weeks and then the novelty wears off, but below are products I've finished and re-purchased:

Nivea Lip Care Pearl and Shine £2-£3 depending on the store. I have so many lip balms and this is one of the only ones I've stuck to. Firstly, because its a stick lip balm which means my hands won't get messy. Secondly, it makes your lips smooooooth and thirdly, leaves your lips with a gorgeous pearly shine.

Collection 2000 Volume Sensation £4.99. Although I do use different mascara's, this is the only one I've re-purchased (about 6 times). I love my mascara's to have large bristle brushes and this has exactly that.

Boots Intensive Hair Masks £1.99. I use these everyday as a normal conditioner so no wonder I go through so many! They leave my hair silky soft :) Review for these can be found here.

Body Treatment Cocoa Body Butter (Have only found in Wilkinsons) around £1. I've written a review for this here. Smells gorgeous, leaves skin really soft, same size as a large Bodyshop's body butter and is extremely cheap!
