Someday Summary

A post with a little bit of everything ;)
I'm going to start doing this post every weekend; update, ins & outs, favourites and whatever tickles my fancy.

An update from the week:
I've sent off my Ucas application! This means I have officially applied to University :)

A purchase from the week:
2 ASOS nail paints for £1 each! Olivia: A bright orange and Lauren: A sky blue. I wanted more but all the other shades have sold out :/

Food of the week:
Peanut butter on toast! Have ate it everyday for two weeks...

A high point from the week:
All of my educational things have been paid for so I should be able to buy my Winter clothes soon!

A low point from the week:
Only having two pairs of jeans, two pairs of shoes and two hoodies to wear.

Here are a few photos which I have just found on We Heart It. I could show thousands but I'll keep it short :P

Have a good weekend!

Everyday Minerals Eye Shadow - All Spice and Starry Eyed

If you haven't yet read my review on Everyday Minerals Blushes, click here.
Everyday Minerals is a well known mineral make up brand. Their products are affordable, of high quality and their website is well designed: Everyday Minerals.

Here I have a couple of their eye shadows in travel sizes. The travel sizes are packaged in roller ball tubes so their easy to apply. When I first started wearing make up (12 years oldish) I bought an Avon roller ball eye shadow which I adored so these bring back memories!

All Spice and Starry Eyed.

All Spice and Starry Eyed swatches.

All Spice is described as: Like a soft neutral pink champagne laced with delicate white shimmer.
Starry Eyed is described as: A deep brown with silver shimmer.

As they are mineral, the formula is very soft. All Spice blends beautifully and is a great highlight colour. Starry Eyed is a little harder to blend because of it's dark colour but it's perfect for a crease colour.

The 'mini' sized pots are $7 (Around £4.40) and the travel roller balls are $4.50 (Around £2.80). These are so affordable!

Mineral, variety of colours (Currently 76 colours!) and easy on your purse, I would recommend these :)

I have many products on my wishlist from Everyday Minerals and will be buying from them in the future. (Their concealers and blushes are ah-mazing!)

Boots 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Flirtini

Sorry for the light reflecting off of the tube.

How pretty does this lipstick look?!
This is priced at £4.49.
17 say: 'A moisturising lipstick with a mirror-shine gloss. Containing the perfect combination of pigment and micro pearls, it cleverly reflects the light to create the optical illusion of fuller lips and gives a super sheer, wet-look finish.'

My thoughts: I completely agree with 17 so I don't need to repeat what they've said :)
This colour gives you the 'I've just eaten strawberries' look:

Beautiful colour, moisturising and glossy, just like a tinted lip balm :)

Nails Of The Week - Barry M Boots Limited Edition 030

I have wanted this colour for a while so am very glad Rachel from The Beauty Hall included it in the give away prize :)
This is a lilac with pink undertones and just like other Barry M Nail Paints, applies like a dream.
I'm very excited to own this because it's actually the first lilac I own! I know it's crazy.

Thank you Rachel!

Earlier this week I won Rachel's give away and I would like to say a huge thank you :)
Rachel's blog: http://thebeautyhall.blogspot.com/ Please take a look, it's a very good read!
Again, thank you Rachel!

GOSH Bronzing Shimmer Brush Review

This is GOSH's Bronzing Shimmer Brush which is new to the range. The price is £9.

The photos above show the brush, and the cap that covers the brush, making it easier to put the lid on.

Here are a few swatches:

& heavily swatched:

The product is gorgeous; finely milled bronze shimmer (As the name suggests!) which reflects the light beautifully.
The only thing I don't like about this product is the brush. This is no surprise as most 'built in' brushes aren't of great quality.
The brush isn't as soft as I would like but I'm willing to over look this as the product itself is great.

You can buy GOSH cosmetics in Superdrug stores and online

Thank you for reading :)

Ins and Outs / Update

I was thinking about writing this post earlier but then thought 'Best leave it to the end of the month, like the others'... and I've just realised it is the end of the month! I'll be sitting my January exams in a blink of an eye.

Ins:
  • Yesterday I paid for my exam resits and Friday I will be able to pay for my revision guides. Some of you know that I've been having money problems recently and this is a huge weight off of my shoulders!
  • Following on with the school topic, I got my Psychology exam paper back. I asked to get it back because I didn't do so well and wanted to see where I went wrong. I was confused as to why I done so bad because the answers were all standard with a handful of them getting full marks. Found out that the grade boundaries were really high for this paper (50% getting you only an E). The next thing that really confused me was the last question. I got 0/12 and yet I fully and clearly explained my answers? I went to speak to my teacher and she said that she found out the night before and was absolutely fuming because I should have least got 6 marks. She's wrote a letter of complaint to Edexcel or whoever, demanding them to mark the last question.
  • I received a new bank card; Visa instead of my previous baby Solo. I'm so excited as I can now purchase products in Accessorize with my card! I don't know why Accessorize wouldn't accept my card when every other store did.
  • I have some shoes in the post! Again, this relates to the money problems. I only had one pair of dolly shoes to last me a month and a half (because that's when I would have spare money) and they are falling apart. New Look had free delivery but the only shoes that were under £8 (that's all I had) weren't very nice. I then looked on eBay and found a nice pair from New Look for £5.99 :) So I now have shoes to last me until November!
  • 18th birthday party Saturday... need I say more?!
  • I won two give away's today! One prize is a MAC lipstick (I chose Chatterbox because I like the finish and it's a bright pink; I can use less product to create a toned down pink) and the prizes from the other give away include a mascara, 17 Mirror Shine lipstick and Barry M Limited Edition Nail Paint (Along with other bits and pieces)
I feel as though people may be annoyed at this? Because a fair few people have said 'She always wins!'
I enter quite a few give away's (Like most) and don't win a huge percentage of them.
I've only won a couple from my fellow bloggers and a couple from companies. Yes I have had some luck in the last month and although I can't help winning, I feel bad that people may be getting annoyed with me.

Outs:
  • Dry lips. I never get dry lips but have this week and I don't like it at all!
  • No clothes because of no money. I've been wearing the same two pairs of jeans and three hoodies for the past three weeks (Of course regularly washed!)
