Small Shop Including Mother's Day Presents

I finished getting my mother's day presents!

Card Factory is so cheap! Their giant cards are 99p-£1.99.
  • From here I bought the cutest card which comes in a gift box for £1.99
  • A balloon for 49p
  • And a hugee teddy for £6.99. See the teddies in the picture above wrapped up with big bows? Its one like that :) I must have looked hilarious carrying it around town as the bag was insanely big.
  • I've also got her ferrero rocher's (Of course)
  • And a skin care gift set from Simple.

Soul Cal Chambray Pintuck Shirt
Next up is Primark. Now as I don't have a camera and can not find a picture, I had to use this blouse picture from Republic. Its like the picture above but its navy blue and comes with a brown skinny belt. This was £8.
I also bought some light wash skinny jeans for £8.

Update and Ins & Outs

Hello :)
I'm going in town tomorrow to buy a few more mothers day presents and might pick up some things for myself. Only a few though because I don't have much money! I know I said I was on a spending ban but when buying presents for other people, you feel less guilty about buying treats for yourself.
If you look to your right, you will see I have some skincare reviews coming up. The tea tree range will be reviewed next Saturday as then I would have been using it for 2 weeks.

Ok so on to Ins & Outs:

Ins:
  • Clear skin! Well almost, but I'm still very pleased :)
  • Getting a good Psychology result in my mock. The last couple I done were not very good so I lost faith but now getting a good grade when I didn't revise has boosted my confidence. We have also started a new approach: Psycho dynamic, which is about sex drive, unconscious thinking, instinct etc which is very interesting.
  • No boy troubles. Multiple boys have recently been playing with my head and now that its over, it feels good to not worry about those kinds of things. Its simple :)
  • Cheerio's with clusters! Yummmm! Cheerio's are scrummy on their own, but now there's packs with clusters in which add a little sweetness to the cereal.

Outs:
  • Biology! I like Biology and got A's in GCSE but time and time again, I keep getting bad marks. I failed my mock today and got so annoyed I said I'm quitting the subject lol. But it is my fault for not revising; I've been so busy this week finishing English coursework and numerous essays that I didn't have a lot of time.
  • No money, as always - boo!
  • No nice jeans. I have one pair which I like now and all the others look horrible. I want a few pairs from Republic but having no money means I can't.

Can you relate to any of these?

Those Rare Few...

Hello :)
I rarely finish a product and its even more rare if I purchase it again because I'm always trying out different things. I'll start using the product for a few weeks and then the novelty wears off, but below are products I've finished and re-purchased:

Nivea Lip Care Pearl and Shine £2-£3 depending on the store. I have so many lip balms and this is one of the only ones I've stuck to. Firstly, because its a stick lip balm which means my hands won't get messy. Secondly, it makes your lips smooooooth and thirdly, leaves your lips with a gorgeous pearly shine.

Collection 2000 Volume Sensation £4.99. Although I do use different mascara's, this is the only one I've re-purchased (about 6 times). I love my mascara's to have large bristle brushes and this has exactly that.

Boots Intensive Hair Masks £1.99. I use these everyday as a normal conditioner so no wonder I go through so many! They leave my hair silky soft :) Review for these can be found here.

Body Treatment Cocoa Body Butter (Have only found in Wilkinsons) around £1. I've written a review for this here. Smells gorgeous, leaves skin really soft, same size as a large Bodyshop's body butter and is extremely cheap!

Rimmel Stay Matte Dual Action Concealer

Price: £4.99

What they say: Blendable dual action concealer. Effectively covers the blemish without clogging pores, whilst the inner core treats the blemish.

What I say: Well firstly lets mention the packaging - a pearly beige with silver writing = very nice! The surface area is a lot smaller than the average lipstick shaped concealer which I like as it is easier to target the blemish without covering the skin around it. In the centre of this concealer is a green colour core which is said to treat the blemish. The ingredients that 'treat the blemish' are listed as extracts of cucumber, chamomile, and cotton.
I'm never sure if claims like these actually work, but its a nice idea. The green colour doesn't show up on your skin but ends up blending with the tonal part of the concealer. The concealer blends well and overall is a good product.

There are a few points which could be improved:
1. This has less product than most concealers so £5 for the amount you get is a little pricey. If Rimmel dropped the price to under the £4 mark, I'd be a little happier with the value for money.
2. The product comes in 4 shades: Ivory 010, Soft Ivory 020, Classic Beige 030, Soft Beige 040. As you can see, this product isn't suited for people with darker skin.

Would I re-purchase? As I said in my previous concealer review: No because I'm always trying out different concealers but I would be happy if I re-purchased :)

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer

Price: £3.99

What they say:
  • Ultimate concealer conceals flaws, imperfections and blemishes for up to 16 hours
  • Oil free
  • Transfer proof and water resistant for full and long lasting coverage
  • Provides beautiful, shine free, blemish free skin for every waking hour
What I say: Well those are some strong claims ^. This gives great coverage, I would say medium-high but it gives such a high coverage because the formulation is quite thick, which some people may not like. Up to 16 hours? Well it lasted through the day (10ish hours) and then I had a shower, so pretty darn good! This concealer did seem to keep my oily skin at bay :)
This concealer dries rather quickly which I didn't like at first but I've got used to it and once dry, it stays put.

Summary: Great coverage! Dries quickly but once dry, it doesn't budge!

Would I re-purchase? Yes!

Collection 2000 Love Your Lips Balmgloss

Price: £3.99

What they say:
  • The only gloss to offer SPF20
  • Helps protect and care for lips in the sun
  • Moisturising and non-sticky
  • Contains anti-oxidants, rose hips and mango extract to soothe and hydrate lips
  • Available in six delicious fruit flavours

What I say: I agree with everything above. Its moisturising, non-sticky and the SPF20 is a bonus. I love the packaging and the applicator is a brush instead of your average wand found in most lipglosses. The colour pay off is definitely not as strong as the colour in the tube but is sheer and subtle (This is the only thing I would improve). Another reason why I love this Balm/Gloss is the smell - Oh em geeeee it smells so good! Like sweet mango's :)

Would I re-purchase? Yes! It has everything I look for in a gloss (Apart from high pigmentation). I have 'Passion' which is the bright pink one (4th from the left) and I would certainly buy the others.

Had a little taste, I now want the whole cake!

... well product. I'm talking about Barry M's Lip Lacquer Crayons :)
Whilst browsing the isles in Superdrug with the mother, I found myself wondering over to the Barry M section and swatching their latest additions. I was actually stunned by how glossy and pigmented these were. The pigmentation of these is mind blowing and soon found my hand covered in bright, sparkling, glossy swatches. They all look a little over whelming so the first one I tried was 'Ballet Pink', the lightest pink and it gives a sheer, shimmery (and yet again, glossy) effect. This has lilac reflects in which look just stunning. I then tried the others, which, as you can see are extremely bright so I hope you can use just a small amount which will tone the colour down. As you can tell, I like these already but I don't know how they feel or last on your lips.
I really need to be saving and don't wear many lip products but these are so tempting. Mothers day is coming up and I'm sure my mum wouldn't mind a few (which I can borrow :P). My mum likes 'Ballet Pink' with Vaseline's 'Rosy Lips' over the top to give a sheer, natural colour which slightly shimmers in the light.

Shop

^ I'm replacing the word 'Haul' to 'Shop' because... well it makes more sense :)
There's been so many posts I've been wanting to do but without a camera, I can not :( A few reviews can be done by using internet photos but most require swatches and my own photos to show you the products. I'm saving up now so hopefully will have a camera soon.

Rimmel's Stay Matte Dual Action Concealer £4.99

Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection Concealer £3.99, on offer for £2.99

Collection 2000's Waterproof Longer Lash Mascara £2.99

Avon's Arabian Glow Clearly Shadowed Eye Pencils £5 each, on offer for £3 each. I've already gone through a blue one of these and loved it so I thought I'd get every colour :) I already have a review on these but am not going to post until I have a camera because I want to show you how beautiful they look.

Reviews to come in the next week :)

Update

Again, my posts haven't been up to scratch, and I'm sorry for anyone who has missed me (Don't all comment at once :P) BUT I haven't been here to do any posts as I've had quite a social weekend: I was out Friday night at a social club where local bands were playing, out all night Saturday and got hammered, which I regret because I rang a few people up and talked poop to them. They probably now think I'm a stupid drunk who they should stay away from *hangs head in shame*.
So then I went in town the following morning to exchange my Republic skirt for a hoody, my friend and I then had a KFC meal as we were still hangover. It was also not a good idea to go on an escalator moving down; it took a few minutes for me to choose what step to step on: like you would do when you were a child haa.
Thennnnnn, after a whole day of pointlessness in town, we met up with everyone to go see Valentines Day. Basically it was created by Americans trying to copy Love Actually but they failed miserably. It wasn't reaaaaaaal bad, just boring. It wasn't engaging and I found myself looking around the cinema and checking the time on my phone, praying it was nearly over. Good news is though, we didn't go to 'Vue' where everyone goes and the prices are extremely pricey. We went to 'Reel', a cheap cinema where not many people go. Yes, the seats aren't as comfy, but the food is cheap! I got large popcorn and a large drink for £4 :)
We were then at the bus stop when I realised I didn't have my purse (I gave to my friend as she had a bag but it must of fallen out) I then ran back to the cinema as the very last bus of the night was to arrive in 10 minutes, to find that they had just closed up! So I had to ring up in the morning and go collect it.
Oooh and I have a load of coursework to be done but I should be able to make a few posts :)
Phewwww! I've just rambled for Britain but if you've made it this far, then thank you for reading! You can have a long distance air hug :)

N.Y.C Cosmetics

Hello Ladies! I was kindly sent a few products by Superdrug to review for you:

Metro Quartet Eyeshadow in South Street Seaport.
I love the packaging and think the double ended brush is cute and convenient. The clear sheet across the eye-shadows shows you where to put the colour which is helpful... But 3/4 of the eye-shadows are not as highly pigmented as I would of liked them to be. On the other hand, the darkest contour colour is very pigmented so on a whole, this product is a hit and miss.

Sparkle Eye Dust in Pink Champagne.
The packaging for this product is also cute but I do not like the brush as the bristles are all messed up. This gives a subtle shimmer which can be used in the day; as the colours are not bold or can be used to add some sparkle to a night time look.

Liquid Liner in Jet Black.
I really like this; dries in a reasonable time, lasts all day and has a small, thin brush. First of all I thought I would have no control over the brush as it would be flimsy but application was easy. This is really good for making those flicks perfect.

Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm in Sugar Baby.
I wasn't expecting much from this product as when I first swatched, it felt sticky and tacky. This gives your lips a rosy tint which looks really nice and it isn't as tacky as I thought. It doesn't slide on like a gloss but this increases the staying power as it isn't going to be accidentally wiped off your lips. All in all, a good product :)

Color Wheel Mosaic Powder in Pink Cheek Glow.
I have already written a full review on this product which can be found here.

Lush Avobath Ballistic

Avobath
£2.90

What Lush say: For liveliness and softer skin. If you're the sort who lounges in bed, Avobath is what you need to get you moving in the morning. It's an amazingly refreshing Ballistic with lemongrass to stimulate sleepy brains, freshly mashed avocado and olive oil to moisturize your skin. If you absolutely have to leave your bed, get up and Avobath.

What I say: First of all, the smell = mmmmmm! This smells of gentle citrusy yummyness - good description, I know ;)
When you pop this in, you end up with a lime green bath which, for me, is another highlight. We all love bathing in different coloured water, it makes bath time more fun! So, I was laying there, sniffing up the lemony aroma and I could feel how soft it was making my skin. This also has subtle shimmer particles. Don't worry, it doesn't leave you looking like a glitter ball as the particles are extremely fine. The result is soft, radiant looking skin.

Would I re-purchase? Definitely!

Ebay Haul

I ordered some belly bars on Sunday and they arrived today! (Tuesday). Also, this little lot cost me just 10 pounds and when you spend 10 pounds or over, you are entitled for free delivery :). If you do not spend this amount, delivery is still only 1 pound.

10 pearlescent belly bars £2.75. I had most of these colours already but I love them so much I thought I'd get every one.

Vintage flower belly bar £2.99. I didn't like the butterfly so I took it off and now just have the blue drop and pink pearl which looks a lot better.

Pink & purple coloured pearl drop belly bars £1.49 each.

Zip belly bar £1.75.

Republic Haul

I've just placed an order with Republic which shall arrive next week :). Republic is probably my favourite clothes store to buy from now and is the first store I look at when needing (wanting) some clothes. They are also my favourite store to buy dresses from as they are gorgeous! I already have a few and I am going to purchase another one for a wedding I have coming up. The dresses are around £20-£40 which I think is quite good. I did used to think their prices were quite expensive but that was when all my clothes came from
Primark, and compared to Primark, all stores are expensive. I still don't think its cheap, but I'd rather have 1 memorable top than 10 plain boring tops which no-one will notice.
My order this time consists of basic clothing:

T-shirt £14.99

Denim mini skirt £19.99 or 2 for £30

Hoody £19.99 or 2 for £30

Light blue vest £5.99

Navy vest £5.99

L'Oreal Casting Crème Gloss in 550 Mahogany

This is just a quick post with my thoughts on the dye. I really want to show you pictures but no camera in the house is working, not even the webcam!

So, when mixed in the bottle, it was a gorgeous shimmery violet. Application etc... was fine and now my hair is unbelievably soft - this is one reason why I am starting to love dying my hair. And the colour? A deep brown with warm red tones running through it. I really like it :) Although, I am tempted to go redder...
I don't want to get carried away with dying my hair though because a few months ago I said I would never do it. 2 semi-permanent and 2 permanent dyes later... hehe.
I will try whatever I can to get photos today :)

L'OREAL CASTING CREME GLOSS 550 Mahogany

Does the colour look like the colour on the box? Pretty close, yes! Remembering that everyone's shade will be slightly different depending on your hair colour and how long you leave the dye on.

UPDATE: I've just seen my hair in the sun and it is gorgeous! Shimmering red tones everywhere. I said before there were red-ish tones, but in the sun they are a lot more vibrant :)
