Nails Of The Week!

17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Pink Grapefruit.
£2.99.

Absolutely gorgeous bright summery colour.

The formula is between a creme and a jelly which I really like. 3 coats were needed but as I love the finish and the colour, I don't mind :)

July Favourites

1. Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash - Review can be found here. Pink, smells of pink grapefruit and removes my eye make-up well.

2. Pantene Shampoo. I was using Tesco's shampoo for a while and when I changed to this I could certainly feel a difference. My hair feels much healthier and conditioner does not have to be used with this because it makes your hair soft on its own :)

3. Simple Exfoliating Body Wash. Has just enough scrubby bits :)

4. The Body Shop Raspberry Body Butter. This moisturises well but the reason why it has made my July favourites is the smell - Raspberry jam! It can be smelt from every corner of the house when I use it haha.

5. Barry M Intense Eyeliner Pen in Royal Blue - Review can be found here. Great pigmentation, waterproof, smudgeproof and lasts all day!

6. Barry M Lip Paint in Pinkie Gold Sparkle 132 - Review can be found here. Simply a gorgeous colour. This product, along with the one above are both fairly new and I have only used in the last week but I love them so much they had to be included.

7. Bloom Mineral Plus Lipstick in Ragtime - Review can be found here. Moisturising, light on the lips, great pigmentation, smells like vanilla, lasts for a reasonable time and the packaging is super cute.

8. Bloom Shadow Liner in Soft Taupe - Review can be found here. I use this over my black eyeliner to blend it out. It also gives a shine and another dimension to the black, making my eyes look more awake.

9. The Body Shop hair brushes. These are great quality and love that they're made out of wood.

10. Aveeno Hand Cream. A non greasy hand cream is essential as we all need to get on with our daily tasks and this certainly absorbs quickly leaving your hands feel refreshed and soft :)

I have been accepted on to the AVEENO® Discoverer Programme, helping to spread the word about AVEENO® products. I get sent free AVEENO® samples and have the possibility of being rewarded with additional benefits.

Barry M Intense Eyeliner Pen in Royal Blue Review

Barry M Intense Eyeliner Pen in Royal Blue

Price: £3.95

Barry M claim: "A waterproof, smudgeproof, super long wear eyeliner in a retractable pen."

I say: This is one of the best eyeliners I have used! This stays on my waterline, proving it is waterproof, stays exactly how I first put it on, proving it is smudgeproof and lasts for hours, proving it is superlong wearing. The pigmentation is great too.
I tried rubbing the swatch (above) after taking the photo and it really did prove to me that it is smudgeproof because it didn't budge! It's still on now infact (Photo taken today. I don't want you thinking I swatched it days ago and haven't washed haha)

Would I repurchase? Definitely! I want to get all of them :)

Price: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5
Formula: 5/5

Overall: 5/5!

Today's purchases and a very happy Louise!

Tesco's: Bikini top £6, Collection 2000 Bronze Glow 01 Sunkissed £3 down from £3.99, Bodyform packs with free carry cases £1 each.

Firstly, how cute are the carry cases?!

The picture on the right of the Bronze Glow is to show you how big it is, I love large compacts like that. I have high hopes for the product as well :)

& now onto what is making me a very happy Louise, the bikini top!
I've been searching for a bikini top for around 2months, no exaggeration but I don't like triangle shape ones and didn't want to spend much so it was very hard to find one. I found a couple with the style I wanted (Asos and Debenhams) but didn't want to spend £18+. I was giving up and was going to get the £18 one from Debenhams but tonight I found one!
Although the pattern isn't as nice as the more expensive one, the £12 difference persuaded me.

It looks gorgeous on, the only thing I'm confused at is the size. This says it is a D cup when it doesn't look it. I've been wearing B cup bras but I think they're definitely too small now; hopefully I'm a C cup now! But I don't think I'm as big as a D.

Sorry for that rambling, I'm just happy!

Have a good night :)

Barry M Lip Paint- Pinkie Gold Sparkle 132

My first Lip Paint! I was going to buy Peachy Pink 147 as I've been lusting after it for ages, but after seeing the swatches for this, I knew I'd wear it more often.
This is also one of the Lip Paints which isn't drying, as I've heard that most of them are. I can safely say that you do not need to wear a lip balm under this one :)
The name describes the colour in a nutshell; Pink, gold and sparkly!

You can see the pink veins running through the lipstick here and in real life, it's even more gorgeous.
I also love the packaging; simple yet sleek.

It's more pink than the swatches are showing as the gold really is reflecting in the above photos, especially the right!
Here is the Lip Paint on my lips, giving you a better idea of the colour:

This is a beautiful everyday colour and I haven't had a colour like this before, overall, I'm impressed!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash Review

I've been using this for a few weeks now and have seen a few reviews on samples of this product so thought it was about time I reviewed it :)

Why did I buy this?
It was just a random buy to be honest, plus it was pink and smelt of pink grapefruit :)

A couple days after I bought this, I saw the advert and just cringed. Unbelievably cheesy, bad miming and a fake voice. If I had seen this advert before I bought it.. well, I wouldn't of bought it haha and this is because the advert makes it look gimmicky and not very good.

Price:
I bought mine in Superdrug when it was on offer for £2.99 so I think the usual price is around £4.

What it claims:
"An uplifting daily facial cleanser for clear, fresh and healthy looking skin everyday.
  • With powerful MicroClear technology, the formula cleanses deeply to help eliminate spots and blackheads.
  • The refreshing gel gently purifies the skin without overdrying, while a wave of pink grapefruit uplifts the sense with a burst of invigorating freshness."
My thoughts:
I bought it because it was pink and smelt of pink grapefruit and I like it because its pink and smells of pink grapefruit aha,
No but I do like this product; it has a pump, smells great, is refreshing and removes my eye make-up well.

Would I re-purchase? No I probably will not, only because as a beauty addict, I am always searching for new products :D
But I want to purchase the facial scrub in this range :)

Conversation Of The Day

Barry M Nail Paint in Bright Pink

Me: Daddddd do you like my nails? *Shoves hand into his face*
Dad: Yeah it's better than that other colour you were wearing.
Me: Coral?
Dad: Yeah, I didn't like that one. It couldn't make it's mind up on what colour it wanted to be.

Awr haha my dad got confused whether it was red or orange. He obviously likes colours that are strong minded on what colour category they come under.

Today's purchases

I watched Toy Story 3 today and I really like it!
Before we went to the cinema, we popped into town. I was extremely good and walked out of Superdrug, Boots and Accessorize empty handed :D
Here are a few things I did pick up:
Umbrella £3 Primark, Grey trainers £4 Primark, Pantene shampoo £1 Asda

I bought an umbrella from Newlook not long ago and it didn't last so I may as well get a cheap one. I love it, you push a button and it pops undone. It also looks pretty sturdy.
The trainers are cute, with studs on the side :) Again, I recently bought a pair of trainers from Newlook and found that they last no longer than Primark ones, proving that the price doesn't make a difference (In this case) and these are made really well.

I've been using Pantene shampoo for a few weeks now and it's defiantly made a difference to my hair compared to the Tesco one I was previously using. I don't need to use a conditioner with this one as it makes my hair feel soft anyway :)

Nails Of The Week!

Bad quality photo

Just from looking at the photo you can guess what I used haha
Barry M's Pure Turquoise
Barry M's Bright Pink for the petals
Collection 2000's French White for the middle of the flower

I used a pin to dot the flower, you know the pins which have the coloured ball tops? No? Well google it :P

I'm just about to look on good old eBay for some nail art brushes and dotting tools :)

Bloom Cosmetics - Reviews

Firstly, I would like to apologise for the shoddy photos; my camera isn't focusing.

Gradual Face Tan

"Build a streak-free, golden tan at a controllable pace. Leaves skin feeling soft, sooth and nourished. Contains Shea Butter, Jojoba and Macadamia oils to provide long-lasting hydration. Scented with a special blend of Ylang Ylang, Geranium and May Chang essentials oils - so there is no tell-tale sign of fake tanning!

Gradual Tan Face SPF 15 is a light lotion that conditions and nourishes the delicate skin of the face whilst building a flawless looking tan."

I've never used a gradual tanner for my face and this is because a high percentage of these products make me go orange. Now I was not prepared to walk around with an orange face as I can not cover it if a disaster was to occur so I used it on my arm.

After three days it built up a light tan and I could definitely tell the difference between both arms. I couldn't get a picture so here is a drunken one of me from the other night, hiding from the camera:

You might not be able to see but the left arm (Your left) is the one with the gradual tan on. It was more noticable in real life and you have to take into account that this will not drastically make a difference as it's a product designed for your face.

There's one thing I really do not like about this product and that's the smell. I can normally take strong smells and they rarely bother me but all the essential oils are just too overpowering. This is with using the product on my arm, I would hate to use it around my nose.

Full and Flirty Waterproof Fake Lash Mascara

"Our Full & Flirty Waterproof Fake Lash Mascara won’t run, smudge or clump, creating high impact lashes for beautifully bold eyes.

Designed and developed in Italy this unique cutting edge formula contains 3-D Polymers which form tiny water-resistant tubes around lashes for a fake lash impact and a glossy finish. Vitamin E and Jojoba oil add nourishing protection glides on easily, separating and defining lashes for maximum volume and dramatic length."

This is a good mascara; gives volume, doesn't clump and lasts all day. I also like that you have to twist one final click to make sure the mascara is done up, which is useful as it makes sure your mascara doesn't dry out.

Again, this product has a strong smell, like paint, which is the only downside.

Shadow Liner in Soft Taupe

"Bloom's Shadow Liner is both an Eye Liner and Eye Shadow. Use its' unique, flat lead for precision lining or to sweep colour over the entire lid. Its creamy texture is long-lasting and minimises creasing."

I really like this! When you take off the lid, it's not your average round liner, but rectangle making it easier to use.
It is very creamy and lasts a long time. The specific shade I have is a great alternative to black, creating a subtle daytime look.

Lip Definer in Lusciously Lined

"Get a precise pout with Bloom's smooth Lip Definer. Perfect for lining, filling in lips or preventing lipstick or gloss from feathering."

This is creamy and doesn't drag on your lips, as well as lasting a good amount of time. I think that's all I look for in a liner so it gets a thumbs up!

Mineral Plus Lipstick in Ragtime

"Our new Mineral Plus Lipstick in four debut shades creates luscious lips for the perfect pout! Each shade is bursting with the benefits of pure mineral pigments with no artificial colours creating a naturally vibrant colour for a subtle luminous finish."

Ahh my favourite product! There's so many things I like about this that I'm just going to bullet point them:
  • Conditioning/moisturising
  • Light on the lips so it doesn't feel like your wearing much product
  • Great pigmentation
  • Smells amazing! Like vanilla
  • Lasts for a good amount of time
  • The packaging - Silver and on the outer casing of the bullet it says 'Sealed with a kissed' with a little pair of lips - Too cute!
The specific colour I received (A cherry red with fuchsia undertones) can be used to it's full colour potential for a night time look or lightly used for an everyday natural rosy tint. When used lightly the colour reminds me of a lipstain ( The BodyShop's or Benefit's Posietint for example)
Without a mirror it's hard to get little colour because of it's great pigmentation so I've been applying a lipbalm before hand so I can use the lipstick with normal pressure, creating the perfect 'I've been eating raspberries' colour haha.

Here are some swatches: (Look so much better in real life. Like I said, my camera is playing up so you can not see how gorgeous and shimmery 'Soft Taupe' is.)

Shadow Liner in Soft Taupe, Lip Definer in Lusciously Lined, Mineral Plus Lipstick in Ragtime and Ragtime blended out.

Lip Definer in Lusciously Lined and Mineral Plus Lipstick in Ragtime.

Anddd another!

I've bought another Cactus! I have 7 now.. haha I'm not going to buy anymore for a while. Anywho, meet Herbert!
Some of you.. I mean most of you are probably thinking 'Oh my dear lord' :P

How cute is he?!
Cactus from local florist for 99p, Plant pot and dish around 30p each from Wilkinsons

Here he is with his friends (He's the one in the middle). Look how small he is compared to the rest! Dear of him.. also the older ceramic pots are going dirty/chalky so they need cleaning.

Ok that's enough of my Cacti collecting (For now :P) as I'm sure you couldn't care less. I have a lot of reviews coming up so watch out for them!

Nails Of The Week - Rimmel's Rose Libertine 405

Rose Libertine 405

This is my first Rimmel nail polish! I really don't know why! I've been trying to cut back on the amount of nail polish I buy. I've wanted this colour for ages and I think it's absolutely beautiful. It's like a muted salmon pink :) I love the brush, rounded at the end. Certainly made painting my nails easier.
Packaging, formula and price (£3.49) all great, what more could you ask for?
