Outfit of the Day and Cuddly Cats

My camera really doesn't like taking photos of clothes!

Long sleeved top - H&M
Scarf - Tesco
Shorts - New Look
Tights - Primark
Dolly shoes - Shoe Zone

I'm wearing the shorts and tights again today, but with a different top. The top is thick and warm, so I feel comfortable. The weather is terrible, so I arrived home from uni soaked! The tights don't absorb water like jeans, so they're actually quite practical to wear in the rain.

After I took these photos, I went past my sister's room and found Puddin' and Mysti snuggled up together:
Aww! Mysti always uses Puddin' as a pillow haha. I don't blame her - Puddin' is fluffy and podgy!

Outfit of the Day

T-shirt - H&M
Cardigan - H&M
Necklace - Accessorize
Shorts - New Look
Tights - Primark
Dolly shoes - Shoe Zone

Today's outfit is out of my comfort zone. I wear jeans 99% of the time, so wearing shorts is a big deal for me! I like the outfit, but I have felt self conscious today. Hopefully, I should get used to wearing outfits like this. I love the Primark tights. They're not completely made out of cotton, so they don't go bobbly when washed, and they're really thick, so don't ladder easily. The shorts fit really well and were only £5 in New Look's sale, so I'm one happy chappy! The necklace is one that I wear quite a lot. The branch snapped off though, so now the bird is perched on a stump!
I hope you're having an enjoyable Tuesday,
Louise xo

Outfit of the Day - Dorothy Perkins and Topshop sale items

Sequin daisy jumper - Dorothy Perkins
Blue knitted cardigan - Topshop
Dark blue skinny jeans - New Look
Navy plimsolls - New Look

I like pairing this jumper with bright blue cardigans. Daisies remind me of blue skies, bright green grass and happy times :) The jumper was £12 down from £23. I ordered it in sizes 8 and 12, so I could see which one fitted me better and then return the other. They're definitely on the large side, so I kept the 8. The Topshop cardigan was £10 down from £40 (£9 with student discount). I'm not a huge fan of Topshop. I think a lot of their items are ugly and overpriced. I like this cardigan, though, and it was cheaper than similar cardigans I've seen in H&M, and even Primark (Primark knitwear seems to have increased in price).
Time to get back to my assignment! I hope you're enjoying your Sunday.

Outfit of the Day

White long sleeved top - H&M
Dusky pink scarf - Tesco
Indigo skinny jeans - Primark
Brown ankle boots - Office

My camera cannot handle dim lighting, so apologies for the quality of the photos! I'm not showing you swatches or anything though, so I don't think it matters too much.
The top is quite thick and great quality; I'm definitely going to buy more! Especially considering they're only £7.99. A scarf can make a simple outfit look a lot less boring. Seeing as most of my outfits are boring, I'm on the look out for more! Over this outfit, I wore my khaki green coat, which is from Asda.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

Outfit of the Day and Update

White t-shirt - H&M
Blue cardigan - H&M
Indigo super skinny jeans - Primark
Red dolly shoes - New Look

I keep telling you that my outfits are incredibly boring, but you keep requesting Outfit of the Day posts! So, here you are.
I wore this to my English exam today. It has actually been quite cold, even though the sun is shining, so I wish I wore some socks and boots!
Boring outfit, bad quality photo, and beauty products taking over my room in the background - Contender for the best post, ever? I think so ;)

I was going to write a Someday Summary post, but I don't have much to tell, so I thought I'd have a good old natter in this one.
Let's see... The last few assignment grades I've had back have been good :)
I'm half way through reading Catching Fire, from The Hunger Games trilogy. It's taken me a while to read it because I've been busy with assignments.
I'm going to see The Hunger Games on Tuesday :D Then I'm going bowling and having a few drinks with some friends. I know, I'm totally social now! Kind of...
I've just placed an order with ELF (EyesLipsFace). I wanted to repurchase some favourites before they went out of stock again (Studio brushes, Studio Eyebrow Kit and Mechanical Eyelash Curler). I also bought the Mineral Booster and two Mineral Lip Tints, in Blush and Berry. If you spend over £10, you will receive a Mystery Bag worth at least £10. The code is JACKPOT325. It expires at 9:30am on Monday 2nd April 2012.
I'm also going to be making a few other purchases this weekend, so expect a 'haul'! I've got to pick up a Lush Shampoo Bar I won earlier, and I also want to purchase You've Been Mangoed and Vanilla Puff from them. I'm craving lip stains, so I'll probably pop into Boots and have a good ol' swatching session.

Outfit Of The Day

I don't like doing Face Of The Day's because I hate the way I look and I don't like doing Outfit Of The Days because my clothes are boring. However, it has been requested a number of times if I could do more of these types of posts, so here you go:

Told you my clothes are boring!

White T-shirt: H&M
Blue shirt: Primark
Dark blue skinny jeans: Newlook
Grey pumps: Primark
Owl necklace: eBay

I'll try and get a Face Of The Day done soon but I'm telling you now, it will take a lot of photos to find one I'm happy with!

Have a good weekend :) x

Yesterdays and Todays OOTDs and Plymouth University's Open Day and Today's Purchases

Grey vest: Primark
White board shorts: Primark
Navy cardigan: Primark
Gold bangle: Primark
'L' pendant: Accessorize

T-shirt: Republic
Denim shorts: Primark
Wooden bangle: Chinese hotel in Holland haha
(also wore white dolly shoes)
And I wore no tights today! I'm so proud of myself :D

So today I went to Plymouth University's Open Day! It was pretty good. As were on the coast, there are loads of water sports to do. They also have a four floor library with a cafe at the top and the student union was just voted best the student union in the country. It looks amazing, but then again, any university will look amazing compared to secondary school!
A girl said that she comes from Manchester and in the three years she's studied at Plymouth, she went back home to see her parents for a total of two weeks haha
The students were really nice! We went to a Psychology drop in session for my friend but I came out wanting to do it too haha
I wanted to go to an English drop in session but it didn't start till 2 and that's when we had to leave so I'm going back in September for their other open day.
One of the girls said she has friends who study at Brighton and Falmouth who love it there and they're the other two places I want to go :)
She now has a Psychology degree but is going to London to work on Media and filming and she also said she knows someone at the BBC who has a geography degree so degrees can be flexible to many jobs.
Hmm Psychology or English? I don't know!

I didn't like any of Primark's bikinis. I'm quite fussy when it comes to bikinis I've discovered. I don't like triangle shaped ones and would like support so my boobs don't look small!
They also didn't do any nice summer dresses :/
And their gladiator sandals were ok, but not enough for me to want to buy them.
There was a pair which were really nice though and I don't know why I didn't buy them. They were a goldish/creamy colour but not tacky looking and had three chains going across the top (ankle part) and a normal flip flop type bottom. Haha I am so good at describing! Don't ya think?!
They were £8 anyhow.. I'll get them when I go into town to buy some birthday presents.

Popped into Boots and got two boring items:
Natural Collection: Pink cloud blush and Waterguard mascara, both £1.99

I reaaaalllly wanted some 17 nail polishes but I have so many already. I wanted Parma Violet as I don't yet have a Lilac in my collection (I know I can't believe it either!) but I wasn't sure whether it would be streaky or not.

Oh and I had £7ish on my advantage card so the Natural Collection items were free. I wish I remembered I had that much on my card because I would of bought some 17 nail polishes. I wouldn't of felt as guilty buying them if I knew I would only of had to pay a few extra pounds on top of my advantage points. Ahh next time!

OOTD

Vest: Republic
Cropped cardigan: Peacocks
Denim shorts: Primark
Dolly shoes: Newlook

Today was the first time I have worn shorts to school! or in fact out anywhere for years. I have really pale legs so don't normally tend to. Plus the 'popular' girls have great legs so I didn't want to look crap next to them!
I'm wearing tights here, most people didn't even notice :)
Oh and in this photo my body shape looks really boyish :S It's more curvy in real life or what's the word.. sportish.
Boyish is straight down and sportish is slim with slight curves.

OOTD

This morning was a dark rainy one so excuse the lighting.

Light pink T-shirt, Navy cardigan and Dark blue jeans all from Primark :)
I also forgot to put my white pumps on but their from Newlook.

I didn't intend to but my make-up coordinated with what I was wearing today (Can not show you a picture because it wouldn't show up).
I wore a light pink blush (NYC Mosaic Powder) with a light pink shimmering highlight (ELF's All All Color Stick in Lilac Petal) and on my eyes I wore a navy eyeliner. I actually used a black eyeliner with my Avon Arabian Glow Eyeshadow Pencil in Vivacious Turquoise (A bright blue) to create a navy colour. I am really liking this colour on my eyes and have wore it for the past week. It's not as boring as black but still goes with many things.
I want to get Barry M's Intense Eyeliner Pens in Royal Blue and Dark Emerald as both of these look like great alternatives to black.

Outfit for Saturday

This is what I am wearing to my aunty's wedding on Saturday:

Dress: Boohoo, cardigan: Peacocks, dolly shoes: New Look

I'm not keen on wearing the dolly shoes, but I haven't got the money to buy a pair of heels. Plus, we're going on the moors to take photo's, so these will be more comfy (they're new though, so they're hurting my feet a bit!)

OOTD & Skipping!

I rarely do Outfit Of The Day posts because I don't have many clothes I think are worthy of one aha, but I'm going to try and do more, starting with the simplest outfit I could possibly wear:

I was just relaxing in the garden and doing a bit of revision.
Vest: Republic
Shorts: Random navy striped shorts from my PJ drawer :P

Ok soooo, I want to tone up a wee bit for summer (don't we all!). Because I've always been slim and never watched my weight, I've never exercised for that purpose (I've exercised for fun; running, swimming etc but for the last couple of years, zilch).
I don't want to do anything serious because I don't really need to so one option I am going to take up is skipping!

*whacks out the old skipping rope*
Taaa daaaa! and a snippet of my toes because their pretty ;)
Bought this about 10 years ago from school when we had a skipping day aha. Because it's not rope, but one of those 'speed' skipping ropes, it bloody hurts if you accidentally whip yourself or get in the way. Luckily for me I'm a pro so this never happens ;) ha yeah right.
Is it lame that I'm going to Google 'skipping rope tricks'? Maybe, but hopefully I can become really good and enter competitions! .. I'm only joking, or am I? :P.. Yes, yes I am joking.
Jessie modelling the skipping rope :D

Toodles!

OOTD

Top: Primark (PJ top sssh) 'Choose Life' sounds pretty cheesy but I like the style of the top.
Belt: Newlook
Skinny Jeans: Primark. I really like Primark's jeans. I have quite a few pairs and after years, they have still stayed in shape.
Boots: Next

I really want to find some more big T-shirts which can be cinched in at the waist. Might find some cheapo men's T-shirts from Primark and do a bit of DIY ;)
