I haven't written a nail polish collection post in years! I've been meaning to for the last few months, but I just kept buying more... oops! Recently, I've only been buying shades I don't have anything similar to though, and I'm trying to slow down on the purchasing because I'm running out of room. For a beauty blogger, I don't think my collection is that big. I think it's bigger than the average girl's though! A lot of the nail polishes above have been featured on Affordable Treats before, so if you would like to see a swatch of one, just type it into the search bar. If I haven't swatched it already and you would like me to, just let me know.

I hope you enjoy your evening!

Nails of the Week

Although the camera on my phone isn't as clear as my actual camera, it picks up colours better, so I've used it for today's post. Above, we have China Glaze's Secret Periwinkle with Models Own's Silver Nail Art Pen for my French tips. At first, I wasn't sure I liked it, but it's grown on me. I initially wanted to do this manicure with a dusky blue polish, but I don't have one, so went with this darker, purple blue.

I hope you have a lovely Sunday! We're having roast chicken with a fresh loaf of bread this evening - Yummm. I have my first 2nd year lecture tomorrow, which I'm not looking forward to because I don't know many people in the module.
Also, I should have a post up in the next couple of days about our new family member! He's very cute.

My Top 5 Nail Polishes

Hello! Today, I guest blogged over on the lovely Alison's blog - Rock and Glitter. You can view the post here. It discusses my current top 5 nail polishes (and a couple more!).
I hope you enjoy reading it!
Thank you, Alison, for asking me to feature on your blog :)

Nails of the Week

I took this photo on my phone last night and was going to take better quality photos this morning, but my nails smudged overnight! I hate it when that happens. I cannot be bothered to redo them and I am not taking photos of smudged nails, so it was this photo or nothing.
Anyway, these will be my nails for the next week. I like doing spots on my nails because they're easy to do! The purple base is Barry M Boots Limited Edition, the pink spots are Barry M Bright Pink and the turquoise spots are China Glaze For Audrey.

I hope you're enjoying your day! I'm about to get dressed and head down to the library to check out a load of books. I'm so excited! Sad, but true.

Nails of the Week!

China Glaze For Audrey and Models Own Nail Art Pen in White

These are the nails I've been sporting for the past week. I wasn't going to post about them because they're not the neatest, but I've just thought: "Why not?!". I don't have the patience for nail art, so this is some fancy work for me, haha.

I hope you're all enjoying your Sunday! I'm currently eating chicken nuggets and watching Soccer Aid - Hello there ;)

Nails of the Week!

Natural light

Flash

ASOS Olivia, Barry M Coral, China Glaze Make Some Noise, Barry M Pink Flamingo and Barry M Bright Pink.

Whilst in bed last night, my mind wondered off to what my next manicure could be. I thought a gradient/ombre design would be fun and allow me to use many bright colours. I really like it and can't wait to try it with other shades!

Nails of the Week

China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le in natural window light, with flash

Price: £4.50-£5, including P&P, from beautyzone2007

I've started painting my nails again! I actually started to paint them last week and wore China Glaze Make Some Noise, but I wasn't ready to start taking photos of my nails because I become obsessive when looking at the them, and I don't like it. I will be repainting my nails in Make Some Noise and blogging about it soon though, because I love the colour and formula.
Anyway, this is China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le. It's, well, a periwinkle shade! It's in-between a blue and a purple... it's a 'blurple'. The formula is thinner than the other China Glaze polishes I own, taking three coats, four on the odd nail. Although I used a flash in the photo above, the natural light is still the dominant light, so the colour is fairly accurate. I was actually surprised by this because blue-purples are a nightmare to photograph!

Pretty Polishes

China Glaze Dance Baby, China Glaze Make Some Noise, China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le, Color Club Gimme A Grape Big Kiss, Color Club Pucci-Licious and Color Club Age of Aquarius.

Oohh... I want to buy more already! I bought these from eBay seller beautyzone2007. With combined shipping, these worked out to be around £4 each. The Color Club polishes are for my mum and sister, but they may let me borrow them to swatch for you!
The China Glaze Electropop collection contains a lot of shades that are similar to older ones. For example, Make Some Noise is similar to High Hopes, Aquadelic & Kinetic Candy are similar to For Audrey, and Electric Beat is similar to Secret Peri-Wink-Le.
I don't have shades similar to Dance Baby and Make Some Noise, so that's why I bought them (Dance Baby is a cool toned baby pink, and I only have warm toned baby pinks). I chose Secret Peri-Wink-Le over the new Electric Beat because Secret Peri-Wink-Le is slightly more purple.
Expect some Nails Of The Week posts to follow!

China Glaze For Audrey

I've been waiting to wear this polish for a week! I had a few cuts on my fingers so was waiting for them to heal before I took any photos. This is my first China Glaze polish and I love it! This is one of China Glaze's most famous shades and I can see why. I bought it from a seller called enchantedbeautyspot on eBay for around £4.50 including delivery. It arrived from America in just over a week which is pretty good! beautyzone2007 is also another great seller for China Glaze, OPI, Essie etc. The next shades I'm going to order are Flyin' High and High Hopes from the Up and Away collection :)
