AW14 with GOSH | New Velvet Touch Lipstick Shades and Giant Blush Sticks

GOSH Velvet Touch Lipsticks in Angel, Adorable, Temptation, Divine, Scarlet, Diva, Pretty, Night Kiss, and Twilight, Velvet Touch Lipliner in Raspberry Dream, and Giant Blush Sticks in Shy and Passion*
Angel, Divine

I feel like GOSH products haven't been spoken about much recently. I personally haven't used them in ages. So, I was intrigued to see if these AW14 releases were any good!

The lipsticks haven't disappointed, and are just as intense and long lasting as I remember, without being drying. I dislike Adorable because I'm really not a fan of candy pinks, and Angel is a little too light for my liking, but the rest of the shades are beautiful. Although Angel has the potential to make me look like a corpse, I wanted to show you it on the lips because it's not chalky at all, and that surprised me.

The lipliner has impressed me more than I thought it would. First of all, the colour is beautiful. It's also creamy and very long lasting. I'll definitely be taking a look at the other shades available next time I'm in store!

The blush sticks are okay. I don't like them as much as the lipsticks, but then I think I'm going through a lipstick phase at the moment! They're supposed to have a cream to powder formula, but I feel like it varies between the shades a lot. Shy is very dewy, even when blended, and it almost disappears, so you need to build the colour up. Passion, on the other hand, has more of a satin finish and is a lot more pigmented. A little amount with considerable blending is needed. I like them, but would like them a lot more if the formula was in between both.

The Velvet Touch Lipsticks are £6.49, the Velvet Touch Lipliner is £4.99, and the Giant Blush Sticks are £6.99, so they're all reasonably priced. You can purchase them from Superdrug stores and superdrug.com

I haven't written a nail polish collection post in years! I've been meaning to for the last few months, but I just kept buying more... oops! Recently, I've only been buying shades I don't have anything similar to though, and I'm trying to slow down on the purchasing because I'm running out of room. For a beauty blogger, I don't think my collection is that big. I think it's bigger than the average girl's though! A lot of the nail polishes above have been featured on Affordable Treats before, so if you would like to see a swatch of one, just type it into the search bar. If I haven't swatched it already and you would like me to, just let me know.

I hope you enjoy your evening!

Beauty Buys and Banana Pajama Bottoms

Collection Lasting Perfection concealer £4.19 from Superdrug, 17 blush in China Pink £3.49 from Boots, Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze £4.99 from Boots, GOSH Soft 'n Shine lip balms in Passion Pink and Perfect Plum £3 each (on sale) from Superdrug.

I bought yet another Collection Lasting Perfection concealer! I must have had about 15 tubes of this wonderful product. Since they were released, I wasn't interested in the Maybelline Colour Tattoos, but found myself buying one yesterday! I'm going to use it on my lower lash line. Let me tell you, these things do not budge! My Superdrug had a huge basket full of discounted GOSH products, so I spent a good 10 minutes searching through everything. Out of the two shades I picked up, Perfect Plum is my favourite because it is more wearable and doesn't contain any shimmer. I kind of wish I picked up Barbie and Sweetheart now, but you only get 1.5g of product, so even at £3, they're overpriced.

And from Primark, I purchased...

Banana pajama bottoms! They were £5. They're very... bold, but I love the quirkiness of them. Don't worry, these are only going to be worn inside the house!

GOSH Trio Eye Shadows

Pink Sunset

Tropic Fever

Crystal Waters

Limelight

These are the new shades of trio eye shadows GOSH have released. The colours certainly stand out! The pigmentation of these is good and as you can see, the colours are buildable. My favourite is Tropic Fever as the blue is beautiful and is the most pigmented out of all the shades. My next favourite is Crystal Waters, as I regularly wear blues and greens on my lower lash line. Then Pink Sunset and then Limelight. I think Pink Sunset will be hard to wear because reds and pinks usually make my eyes look sore.
This is just an introduction to the eye shadows. Hopefully I will be posting looks on how to wear each of the trios. This will also be useful for me to see how I can wear red and pink eye shadows.
These are priced at around £7 each.

Favourite Eye Shadows

First of all, sorry the photos aren't of great quality!

GOSH Effect Powder in Satin and Barry M Dazzle Dusts in Mushroom and Teal. Teal is more intense than the photo suggests.

MUA Eye Shadows in shades 1, 6, 8 and 11. I LOVE these! For £1 they are great quality. I really want MUA to bring out other shades; a gold would be nice.

Urban Decay YDK, Half Baked and Twice Baked.

And of course, the Original Sleek palette.

ASOS/Models Own Shop and Prizes

Models Own nail polishes in Champagne, Mystic Mauve and Beth's Blue, nail art pen in Black.
These are what I recently purchased from ASOS with my Groupon voucher. I paid £10 for all of these because of the voucher; individually the nail polishes are £5 each and the nail art pen is £6.

I would also like to thank Karen from lovelygirliebits for these goodies. I was the second winner in her giveaway and had no idea what she was going to send me. I've been wanting to try the Lush Candy Cane for a while; it smells divine! and yes, that is GOSH Rainbow nail polish! I have Nubar 2010 but wanted Rainbow, which is unfortunately discontinued. I am so happy I finally have it! Thank you Karen :)

Nails Of The Week!

I edited (Cropped) the photos on my dad's wide computer screen so on a normal computer my nails look ridiculously long; they're not!

GOSH Holographic. Normal price: £5.
The second photo is in natural light; the polish looks like a plain silver.
The third photo is with a flash (False light) and you can see the holographic effect (Sorry for the red hands!).
It took 4 coats but I knew it would take quite a few.
It's very unusual and looks like it should belong in a sci-fi movie!

Shop!

I went in town to find an interview outfit. I found some smart, dark denim shorts from Newlook and a grey, loose T-shirt to tuck into them (A shirt wouldn't have looked right with the shorts). I didn't get them though because I thought it would have looked too casual but I'm going to order them now. I think it should be OK to wear. I only think it would be inappropriate if I wore jeans and a hoodie to the interview. I will wear these two items with a cardigan, black tights and black dolly shoes.

GOSH Holographic! It was half price too at just £2.49. Half the GOSH make-up was on sale; liquid liners, eyeshadow quads etc.

From Superdrug, I also bought three MUA eyeshadows, £1 each. These are really pigmented!

WHSmith Cupcake storage drawers, half price £9.99. I already have the Blossom design which holds my make-up but I wanted another set of drawers for my jewellery. It was quite hard lugging this around town though!

Superdrug:

GOSH Bronzing Shimmer Brush Review

This is GOSH's Bronzing Shimmer Brush which is new to the range. The price is £9.

The photos above show the brush, and the cap that covers the brush, making it easier to put the lid on.

Here are a few swatches:

& heavily swatched:

The product is gorgeous; finely milled bronze shimmer (As the name suggests!) which reflects the light beautifully.
The only thing I don't like about this product is the brush. This is no surprise as most 'built in' brushes aren't of great quality.
The brush isn't as soft as I would like but I'm willing to over look this as the product itself is great.

You can buy GOSH cosmetics in Superdrug stores and online

Thank you for reading :)

GOSH Intense Lip Colours

I've been wearing these all day and have gathered my thoughts and opinions on them. Although a day may seem like a short amount of time, with lip products, you can make your mind up with the first application.

These are new to the GOSH range and are part of the Autumn collection.

Here we have 301 and 302 which are the lightest shades of 6. All priced at £7.99 each.

301 is a natural light pink and 302 is a toffee colour with mauve tones coming through is certain lighting.

The packaging is great; simple yet sleek. They also include a mirror on the side and have a light in the lid, making them easier to use in darker lighting.

These are between a lipstick and a lip gloss; coverage of a lipstick and shine of a gloss. They are very pigmented and have a slight vanilla scent to them :)
They last a good few hours which is great when you think most lip glosses come off within half an hour.

Overall I am really impressed and will be taking a look at the other colours available! :)

You can buy these and other products from the GOSH range at Superdrug.
